Bloomberg - Asian stocks snapped a three-day gain and oil retreated as China reported slowing economic growth amid easing industrial production and asset spending. Gold extended its advance and natural gas futures slipped.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index lost 0.2 percent by 12:06 p.m. in Tokyo as a gauge of Chinese shares in Hong Kong fell 0.7 percent, paring an earlier drop of 1.4 percent. Oil in New York lost 0.6 percent from a two-week high as gas declined a second day and gold touched a 5 1/2-week high.
