Indonesia's April inflation at 7.25 pct Y/Y, matches forecas

Bareksa.com - The annual inflation rate in Indonesia, Southeast Asia's biggest economy, eased in April and matched analysts' forecasts, data from the statistics bureau showed on Friday.

The consumer price index rose 7.25 percent in April from a year earlier, slowing from a 7.32 percent rise in March.

On a month-on-month basis, the CPI fell 0.02 percent as prices declined after the start of the harvest season.

The median forecasts in a Reuters poll were for an annual inflation rate of 7.25 percent in April and core inflation at 4.67 percent.
